What We Offer
For a $30 Annual membership to the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan, your child can participate in a unique organization that delivers programs at nine Club locations in Manhattan and Wamego. Our purpose is to provide caring, adult professionals and a safe place for youth to learn and grow where hope and opportunity is provided through life-enhancing programs and character development experiences.
Before school, after school and during the summer months the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan engages members in fun and educational activities that help develop a sound moral compass and influence their ability to succeed in life. As the needs of our families and children continue to change, so will the dynamics of our programs and services. We serve nearly 2,500 children annually with our nine units. In the coming school year, 2017/2018, we will be opening a tenth site at Northview Elementary. Due to our growth and dimishing grants, we are instilling a new fee structure for families to help us balance the expense.  If for any reason you are uncomfortable with the new few, please contact us for payment plan and scholarship options.

Services are available only at our Fifth Street Site, for USD 383 students, and at Central Elementary in Wamego, for USD 320 students, on in-service/professional development days. The cost per child is $15*, and each child must bring his or her lunch.
If you would like to sign up for these days, please pay and sign-up at our main office in advance due to limited availablity. View our calendar of operations, for information on what days are In-Service Days.

Before & after school programs are available at the following Elementary School locations:

  • Bluemont Elementary
  • Central Elementary in Wamego (Currently after school only)
  • Fifth Street Site- schools other than those listed below attend this site
  • Lee Elementary
  • Marlatt Elementary
  • Northview Elementary
  • Theodore Roosevelt Elementary
  • Woodrow Wilson Elementary (currently before school only)

We also offer an after school program at the Manhattan Middle School locations. 

 It is $200 per school year (Aug - May) to participate in before and/or after-school programs.  This amounts to less than $1.30 per day including the membership fee.
