History of the Duck Race?

Over 20 years ago, a community members began to raise funds to charter a Boys & Girls Club in Manhattan.  A duck race was one of the fundraisers that started funding for Club back in 1994.  Boys & Girls Club board members and staff decided it was time to bring back these cute ducks and create a fun family friendly community event again. With much success last year, we are excited to bring you the 2nd Annual Little Apple Duck Dash!

What is the Little Apple Duck Dash?

5,000 rubbers ducks will be up for adoption at $5 each. These adopted ducks will then slide down the CiCo Park Sledding Hilll and race towards the finish line.  It will be a site to see, so you won’t want to miss it!

What happens if one of my ducks win?

The first three ducks to cross the finish line will win a fantastic prize for its owners.

What about watching the race?

The event is free to watch and open to the public.  Bring your family and your friends, enjoy the festival like activities, but most importantly, adopt your duck today!

How can I help make this event a success?

  • Sponsor the Little Apple Duck Dash
  • Create a team to help sell duck adoptions
  • Donate an in-kind item for a prize
  • Spread the word
