MIKE ROWLEY MEMORIAL BBQ FESTIVAL

Come, join us as we honor a late friend and celebrate the things he loved the most, BBQ and helping local youth. The 2nd annual Mike Rowley Memorial BBQ Festival will be held July 21st through the 22nd at Cox Bros. BBQ on McCall Road in Manhattan. The contestants will try their hand at a competition and the rest of us can enjoy music, a festival and the fruits of their labor. 

 

Event timeline:
Friday6pm - 8pm.  Live music with Lucas Maddy and the Kansas Cartel
Saturday12pm - 2pm.  BBQ judging, Q-Country Radio Remote and The Love Handles
Saturday2pm - 4pm.  Live music, BBQ tasting, festival activities and more!

And try your hand at the raffle to win some fantastic items. Raffle Items currently include a Pellet Smoker and more!

MONETARY GIFTS - If you would like to make a donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manhattan, please call (785) 539-1947 or send your gift to 220 S. 5th Street, Manhattan, KS 66502. You can also make a secure and convenient gift online here. All gifts will be formally acknowledged.

 

VOLUNTEERING - If you are interested in volunteering at one of our Club sites, please email kellyc@bgclubmanhattan.com.  Do you have a special skill or talent you would like to share?  Let us know!  NOTE: All volunteers are subject to a background criminal check.

 

DONATIONS IN-KIND - We are always in need of people who can help fix or repair items in our clubhouses. If you are skilled in areas like general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, auto repair, etc., and would be willing to assist us when the need arises please contact Junnae Campbell at (785) 539-1947.

TRIBUTE GIFTS - A Tribute donation is a gift that is given in honor of a loved one, either as a memorial or in honor of some special event. For example, you may wish to donate in your parents' names to honor their 50th wedding anniversary.  Or, you may wish to contribute in the memory of a loved one who has passed away. Upon receipt of your gift, a special Tribute notice will be sent to the one being honored to acknowledge your gift. For Tributes given as memorials, the notice will be sent to the family of the one being remembered. These options are available on our online giving form

 

PLANNED GIVING - Planned gifts are long-range contributions that will insure the longevity of our organization. This contribution includes gifts of securities or properties that can be designated for annual program operations or restricted to the endowment fund. Bequests allow individuals to remember our Boys & Girls Clubs in a will or estate plan. Consult with your financial planner or attorney on how you can make a planned gift.
